We were given the opportunity to move either to Australia or New Zealand and after hearing many great things about New Zealand, we have decided to move here to start our new life. After stepping foot into New Zealand, the government helped us into a home and also helped me into finding a job as a packer despite the language barrier. After getting used to the lifestyle in New Zealand, I wanted to find a new home for my family. Our current rental consisted of a small 2 bedroom unit and did not have enough space for us to live comfortably. It was also difficult as well as it was a long commute to our daughters’ school. With my lack of English it was very difficult to find a new rental and as well as being new to the country, we did not know the area very well – Eventually, after help from the community, I was able to receive help from a translator and was referred to MJ Home to help me.
